Our Republic President Justin Haskins has published a new opinion column with Fox News examining the challenges facing Republicans ahead of the November midterm elections.
Haskins argues that Republicans could learn from Barack Obama’s successful 2012 reelection strategy. Obama acknowledged that serious economic problems remained, attributed those problems to policies he inherited, highlighted areas of measurable progress, and asked voters to give his administration more time to complete its work.
According to Haskins, Republicans should similarly acknowledge Americans’ continuing concerns about housing, groceries, healthcare, and other costs while presenting evidence of progress on inflation, home prices, and border security. He concludes that the election could depend on whether voters believe the country is improving and that changing course would jeopardize that progress.
